As Ashton is confirmed as new EU Commissioner the Conservative MEPs have made it clear they will work with her in her new role to deliver Britain’s interests.

Despite initial concerns raised by MEPs from a number of different countries that Baroness Ashton did not have the necessary experience she has been confirmed as the new [...]

Something I noticed last night is something that generally makes me rather angry within politics.
I am all for equal rights and equal opportunities. This includes gender, race, religion, sexuality, age etc. What annoys me though is the apparent need to push these “minority groups” (and women) into positions because isn’t this just further discrimination?
What is wrong with a [...]

Just went to the Ashton debate and the general feeling seems to be she is fairly new and lacks the experience in some aspects but she handled the questions fairly well. At least she started to then tailed off into repetition and avoidance by the end. In her defence she had been answering questions for [...]

I’ve started to realise that the rare posts that were about anything important outside of CF have become next to nothing and want to address this! I blame it slightly on living in a house with 5 boys at uni and therefore being forced into endless south park and the likes whilst not being able [...]

Reading the Torygraph this morning apparently we have broken the 50% poll barrier for the first time since Thatcher - what fun! I did once, a long time ago, have a few doubts about Cameron but I think he’s proved himself capable of leading the country and fantastic leader for the party.
Seriously… think how incredible [...]

Something I’ve been considering for a while…
What exactly is a “credit crunch”?  No it is not a recession, and yes, there are the obvious meanings, but does anyone else think that perhaps this elusive term that has been picked up by the BBC and supermarket advertisements across the country is little more than a massive attempt [...]

“Disgraceful and Disloyal” David Miliband plunging the Labour party into civil war?
What will come from this will only be seen but despite the obvious amusement stemming from seeing Labour crumble from within as well as from the outside there is the question of whether a leadership contest would be a good thing for the Tories. [...]

Whilst driving to Loseley house for a couple of hours of calling round activists trying to hoax them to come canvassing in the midst of our Stoke ward by-election I heard a bit of David Cameron being grilled by a few selected radio 1 listeners.
The group included a single mother, an underage drinker set on [...]

DC on GlasgowAnother crippling blow for Gordon as John Mason MP for the SNP overturned a massive 13,000 majority and the Tories move up from 4th to 3rd place. Crewe and Nantwich anyone? Poor Labour.
A fabulous quote from the Labour candidiate - “Labour is a cause not a career” - I bet she’s feeling that [...]

I hate Hazel Blears. Does anyone not hate Hazel Blears?
That’s about it. I might become a female bishop, just to take the controversy away from Tory Bear! On a more serious note it is quite a subject of debate, and one I do not feel I know enough about to consider without the possibility of [...]
